Three Large Backnets
By signalmountainlacrosse February 7, 2023
Bronson Meskimen, a resident of Signal Mountain and owner of 1st Mate Logistics, made a very generous donation to the Signal Mountain Lacrosse program including two lightweight lacrosse cages, one net, and 3 boxes of white balls. All brand new. “I love giving back to the lacrosse community,” says Bronson, a former defense player for eight years. “I wanted to make this donation to SML because I live on the mountain and wanted to give back as local as I could.” Bronson fell in love with the game of lacrosse when he was in high school and started playing in Memphis. “Lacrosse, to me, was a great way to make friends. My dad was in the Navy for 35 years, and we moved a lot to different places.” His love for the sport continued with more time on the field as a lacrosse player at UTC. As a freshman with the Mocs, Bronson helped start the Normal Park Lacrosse Club. His advice to the team: “Keep your teammate’s spirits up, and have fun with your friends. Some will be lifelong, so don’t take this time for granted. Get out there, enjoy yourself, and have fun with your teammates.”
